WARE UK Enhances Order and Dispatch Operations with Easy WMS at New Knowsley Warehouse

WARE UK, a supplier of catering and professional cleaning products, will implement Mecalux’s Easy WMS at its new distribution centre in Knowsley, northern England. The deployment will support the company’s growing distribution and e-commerce operations while providing the scalability needed to meet rising demand in the Liverpool region.
“We need to guarantee full traceability across our SKUs, which include janitorial products, tableware, glassware, and packaging solutions,” says Jon Crossfield, Operations Manager at WARE UK. “With Easy WMS, we’ll have complete visibility of stock, enabling more accurate inventory control and better operational decision-making.”
Easy WMS will manage and track all warehouse movements from inbound to dispatch. Each day, between 10 and 12 lorries deliver goods to the facility, with the system automatically classifying products by family. A portion of inbound inventory will be cross-docked, reducing handling time and accelerating deliveries to customers.
The system will also optimise picking operations, one of WARE UK’s most demanding logistics activities. “We dispatch multiple van loads of orders every day to customers in the hospitality and facilities management sectors,” Crossfield explains. To streamline outbound flows, Easy WMS will integrate directly with WARE UK’s transport management system, automatically assigning carriers based on delivery destination.
In addition, WARE UK will deploy the Labour Management System module, an Easy WMS extension that analyses warehouse productivity. The tool will support more effective workforce planning, workload balancing, and continuous performance improvement.
